Who I am Makes A Difference

A teacher in New York decided to honor each of her seniors in High School by telling them the difference each of them had made. She called each students to the front of the class, one at a time. First, she told each of them how they had made a difference to her and, the class. Then she presented each of them with a blue ribbon, imprinted with gold letters, which reads,  "Who I am Makes A Difference."

Afterward the teacher decided to do a class project, to see what kind of impact recognition would have on a Community. She gave each students three more blue ribbons, and instructed them to go out and spread this acknowledgment ceremony. Then they were to follow up on the results, see who honored whom, and report to the class in about a week.

80's Day Out!

When was the last time have I ever watched these films? I wondered. And how about you? I still remember those films, made in the 80's yet still amused me until now. They brings back the memories to where I was just a little kid my own. By that reason only, it compels me and I, then have decided to make my own top grossing films over the year of the 80's.

Below are the top 10 list of films picked out through what I considered as the most unforgettable ones. Enjoy!

Mikey: Well, of course she'll notice. She notices everything.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Blob (1988)

Dr. Meddows: I want that organism alive.
White Suit #1: What about the civilians?
Dr. Meddows: They're expendable.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cocoon (1985)

Jack Bonner: I wouldn't accuse you of dishonesty! I accuse you of being from another planet, but an honest planet!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: All of these films are sorted out by popularity. There are actually plenty of films with different genres that I've watched however to include them all would make this post ridiculously long and crowded. Among those films that I didn't include which I also find magnificent enough are The Neverending Story, Ghostbusters, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Teen Wolf, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, and Alien.

A Little Princess

Everybody loves to be a princess. We crave to be one (err... are you?). Even I do. I still remember back then when I was in my college days, I used to be called a 'Princess' by a friend. I really felt like a real princess only that I doesn't live in a castle.
There's only one thing that inspired me to be a 'princess' and i.e a film by Alfonso CuarĂ³n based upon the novel, A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

The novel with over hundreds of cover versions

I've never actually read the book yet but I watched the film when I was little.
And I've been the biggest critic over many films I watched and yet A Little Princess failed to open my mouth. The film is just brilliant in order. Funny, sweet, sad, and every little thing you could imagine of being a princesses.

The film... Sara and Becky at the attic together

Becky: Sara… why don’t you tell your stories anymore?
Sara Crewe: They’re just make-believe. They don’t mean anything.
Becky: Oh, but they’ve always meant something to me. There were days I thought I would die, until I heard you talk about the magic.
Sara Crewe: There is no magic, Becky
